Liane: Sculpture Ring

This ring unifies two very different materials, sterling silver and teak wood, and bonds them in such a way so that they both contrast and balance each other at the same time. An internal structure within the wood connects all the silver parts together with metal.

Inspiration

Inspiration for this ring came from two different areas. The upper centerpiece is a streamlined form based on a rose, a deeply emotional significant flower. The ring’s overall stature, greatly influenced by features of contemporary yachts, presents itself as solid and luxurious.
